Bordeaux 2015: Top scores from leading international critics

For the past few months, the Bordeaux 2015 They arrive in your cellars. The blends are finalized, the aging process complete, and the wines are now bottled and released to the market. Some châteaux, which use longer aging processes, have not yet released their wines, but this should be done by spring.

Critics from all over the world are therefore returning to Bordeaux to taste the exceptional 2015 vintage and to award the final score to the wines they had tasted during the Bordeaux Primeurs 2015 campaign.

We invite you to discover the castles that have received a perfect score from one of the critics we particularly follow: Antonio Galloni (Vinous), Lisa Perotti-Brown (Wine Advocate – Parker team), Neal Martin (formerly of Parker team who joined Vinous in early 2018) and James Suckling.

THE Château Canon confirms its meteoric rise and the quality of its 2015 release. With 3 reviews awarding it a perfect score, it is certainly the the greatest success of this vintage.

Château Haut-Brion is positioned at the top of the Premiers Crus Classés ranking with a 100 by Lisa Perotti-Brown And Neal Martin! This Château is often presented as the best price/fun ratio of the First Growth Classified Wines of 1855. As of March 5, 2018, the average price of Château Haut-Brion 2015 is €646 compared to €1637.

THE Château Margaux It may only have one 100 score, but if you combine the critics' scores and compare it to the other Premieres, then it comes out on top. Let's remember that the Château Margaux This great vintage is available in a collector's bottle. Interest in this wine is immense and should continue.

In the Pomerol appellation, it is the Vieux Château Certan which stands out. With a 100 by Antonio Galloni and James Suckling and a very noteworthy 99 by Neal Martin, one can only admire the performance!

Overall, the new ratings given to the 2015 vintage reflect the quality of the year: excellent. We also encourage you to discover some of the smaller châteaux (in terms of reputation, not quality) to enjoy a charming vintage that can be appreciated in its youth but will age gracefully for many years in the cellar.
