Dominating the village of Bommes, the Lafaurie-Peyraguey vineyard, composed mainly of Sémillon (93% Sémillon, 6% Sauvignon, 1% Muscadelle), is located in the Sauternes region, in the largest terroir of the classified growths. domaine which celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2018 is universally renowned and has stood the test of time. Successive owners have contributed to its development until 2014 when Silvio Denz, a visionary man, became the master of the place.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2025 is crafted with meticulous care. The grapes, hand-harvested in several passes to select only the berries reaching optimal ripeness, are then gently pressed. The must is fermented in oak barrels, where it develops slowly, allowing for a harmonious integration of aromas. Aging lasts several months on fine lees, adding complexity and richness to the wine. This painstaking process guarantees the authentic expression of the terroir and the typicity of Sauternes.
