Each plot is meticulously tended, guaranteeing unparalleled quality in every bottle produced.

Currently, the estate is managed by the Moueix family, who have preserved Petrus's heritage while adapting it to modern requirements. The owners are deeply attached to their land and the quality of their wines. Their approach is characterized by a total respect for the terroir and a desire to express the unique character of each vintage. Thanks to their vision and passion, Petrus continues to shine on the international wine scene.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2015 Petrus is meticulous, with each step carefully considered to preserve the integrity of the fruit. After a rigorous hand-harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for approximately 18 months. This method imparts complexity and elegance to the wine, while respecting the character of the terroir.
