The Château La Mission Haut-Brion vineyard stretches across gravelly terraces, providing perfect natural drainage. The soil, composed of gravel, clay, and limestone, imparts a unique minerality to the grapes. The climate, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, ensures optimal ripening of the grape varieties. Each plot is meticulously cultivated to fully express the potential of this exceptional terroir, guaranteeing healthy, ripe grapes.

Owner and history

Currently, the estate is managed by the Dillon family, who acquired the Château in 1983. The owners are committed to preserving the estate's heritage and reputation while innovating to meet the challenges of the future. Their passion for wine and respect for the terroir are reflected in every bottle produced, making La Mission Haut-Brion an emblem of Bordeaux excellence.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is carried out with the utmost care. The grapes are harvested by hand and then gently pressed to preserve their integrity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, allowing the aromas to develop harmoniously. Aging lasts several months, during which the wine is stirred on its lees to enrich its texture and complexity. Each step is carefully considered to reveal the quintessence of the terroir and the grape varieties.
