The Château Latour vineyard stretches across carefully selected plots, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot vines flourish in gravelly and clay-rich soils. This exceptional terroir, bathed in an oceanic climate, allows for optimal grape ripening, thus fostering the expression of Pauillac's typicity. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated with meticulous care, guaranteeing high quality and limited production.

    Owner and history

Since 1993, Château Latour has been owned by François Pinault, a businessman with a passion for wine. Under his leadership, the estate has strengthened its commitment to excellence and the preservation of its heritage. The Latour team, led by a renowned oenologist, strives to produce wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and traditional winemaking techniques. The estate continues to innovate while respecting its roots, ensuring that every bottle of Latour is a tribute to its history and terroir.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Latour is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted, and then vinified separately by varietal. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging occurs in oak barrels, a percentage of which are new, for 18 to 24 months. This process imparts to the wine its complexity and elegant structure, ready to evolve with time.
