Vivaltus is the high-end project of the Yllera family with the help of Jean-Claude Berrouet, winemaker at Château Petrus for 40 years, and his son Jeff . It's a wine that opens up particularly well in its youth in this 2017 vintage.
94/100 pts ROBERT PARKER "The wine is floral, fragrant and elegant . The oak is well integrated, and the palate is balanced with refined tannins. A triumph over the unfavorable vintage conditions!"
Terroir : l The grapes come from old vineyards, including Fuentenebro and La Aguilera, at altitudes between 800 and 1000 meters, on clay-granite and limestone and clay-sand soils which promote great complexity and freshness. The vines are between 60 and 105 years old.
Winemaking : Minimal intervention, by plot, by gravity. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels. 20% new barrels.
