History of the Estate Château Combel-la-Serre

The history of the estate
From the cooperative winery to exceptional bottles
In 1998, Jean-Pierre Ilbert decided to leave the cooperative winery to produce his own wines. His son Julien joined him in the venture, and together they established the estate, initially selling their production in bulk. This first venture allowed them to finance the new winery, the fermentation tanks, and the winemaking equipment. In 2003, Julien officially joined his father, and they both began selling their wine by the bottle.
They then traveled the roads, fairs, and markets to make themselves known and met with great success among industry professionals. Julien succeeded in creating a new identity for the estate. Like his wines, he designed eloquent and decidedly modern labels.
