The Fiefs Vendéens appellation has been recognized since 2011. It encompasses five distinct territories: Brem, Chantonnay, Mareuil, Pissotte, and Vix. Vines have been cultivated in the Vendée region since Gallo-Roman times. Devastated by phylloxera, this vineyard has experienced a revival since 1945. The grape varieties Gamay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Négrette, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay are vinified by only 18 winemakers! Each fief is distinguished by its unique landscapes and terroirs. This diversity is a true common thread among the producers. Rosé, red, and white wines are produced with a unique character thanks to the rich geology of this unique appellation.
