The team's opinion
The year 2022 in Tuscany was marked by a hot and dry summer. However, thanks to the altitude of the Tignanello vineyard (between 350 and 400 meters) and the limestone-rich soils (Alberese), the vines withstood remarkably well. The 2022 Tignanello retains its historic recipe, which made it the first Sangiovese to be aged in barrels and blended with non-traditional grape varieties: Sangiovese (~80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (~15%), Cabernet Franc (~5%).
