Purity and precision are the key words for this Barsac . We were captivated by the smoothness and elegance of this top-quality vintage!

94+/100 pts ROBERT PARKEROne of the wines of the vintage , the 2022 Coutet opens with notes of apricot, spice, and exotic fruit, leading to a medium- to full-bodied palate that is round and supple, enhanced by brightness and tension, culminating in a spicy, mentholated finish. Its balanced structure and lively acidity contribute to an ethereal finish, making it a very elegant and chiseled Barsac .

Coutet is a 13-hectare vineyard (planted exclusively with indigenous massal selection, old vines up to 100 years old) that has never been treated with pesticides. It has belonged to the David-Beaulieu family (14th generation) since the 18th century.

Aged for 18 months in barrels.

    Owner and history

The vineyard covers 38.5 hectares planted with Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes. Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, the estate benefits from an exceptional location for Sauternes production. The vines are planted in clay-limestone and gravelly soils.
