Of the estate's 42 hectares, 32 are vineyards, all in one contiguous plot. The soil is clay-limestone. The terroir of Château de Ferrand is complex, cooler than in the plains of Saint-Emilion; the single plot benefits from well-drained limestone soil and optimal ventilation.
