    Owner and history

    Ferrand has the distinction of being one of the highest vineyards in Saint-Emilion, with an altitude of approximately 100 meters spread over 32 hectares of contiguous vines. The grape varieties are 70% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Hippolyte: brown calcareous clay-sandy soils with rocks, brown calcareous clay-sandy soils with rocks, brown calcareous soils on compact marl, and brown clay-sandy to sandy clay soils.
