The Château d'Esclans vineyard lies on exceptionally well-exposed clay-limestone slopes, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate tempered by maritime influence. Predominantly planted with Grenache and Rolle, the vineyard is harvested exclusively at night to preserve the freshness and integrity of the grapes. Careful attention to the soil, combined with sustainable farming practices, guarantees grapes of optimal quality. This unique terroir, coupled with meticulous vine care, gives Château d'Esclans wines their aromatic purity, their delicate texture, and their incomparable mineral elegance.

    Owner and history

Since 2006, Château d'Esclans has been managed by Sacha Lichine, heir to a distinguished Bordeaux family. Driven by a bold vision, he has transformed the estate into a true global icon of premium rosé. Through significant investment and an uncompromising commitment to quality, he has brought out the unique potential of this Provençal terroir. Dedicated to a modern yet tradition-respecting approach, Sacha Lichine instills a dynamic of continuous innovation at Château d'Esclans, elevating its wines, including this 2023 vintage, to the pinnacle of elegance and international acclaim.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process at Château d'Esclans is based on a meticulous process: after a very strict manual and optical sorting, the lightly crushed grapes are cooled to preserve all their aromatic crispness.
For this 2023 vintage, 50% of the juice is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, while the other 50% is fermented and aged in 600L French oak demi-muids, with regular lees stirring. This alternation between stainless steel and oak imparts a silky texture, subtle aromatic richness, and exceptional complexity without ever weighing down the wine.
