Owner and history

Located on the southern slopes of Saint-Emilion, the Château Fonplégade vineyard covers 18.5 hectares. The site's steep incline ensures excellent natural drainage of the soil. The vines are planted on seven levels of plots, either flat or terraced.

Vinification and aging

After hand-harvesting, the grapes are sorted on sorting tables. Cold maceration takes place for five days in temperature-controlled wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation occurs in new oak barrels.
