    Owner and history

    The Château Gazin vineyard comprises 26 hectares of contiguous vines. A total of 24 hectares are situated on the clay-gravel plateau of Pomerol. The grape varieties are typical of the appellation: 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 35 years, with a planting density of 5,500 to 7,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard lies on a clay-gravel plateau in Pomerol, with Günzian gravel on the surface and subsoil, and blue and green clays containing iron oxides (iron pan).

    Vinification and aging
