The Château Pédesclaux vineyard covers 40 hectares in the heart of the Pauillac appellation. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are planted in gravel and clay soils, typical of the region. This unique terroir, combined with an oceanic climate, allows for optimal grape ripening. The vines are cultivated with care, respecting the principles of sustainable viticulture, in order to fully express the potential of each grape variety and each plot.

    Owner and history

Château Pédesclaux is currently managed by the Lorenzetti family, who acquired the estate in 2009. Passionate about wine and the terroir, they have undertaken an ambitious renovation of the vineyard and facilities. Their vision is to produce authentic wines in harmony with their environment. Thanks to their commitment to quality and innovation, Château Pédesclaux has established itself as a key player in the Pauillac appellation, while respecting the heritage of this prestigious terroir.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Pédesclaux is a meticulous process that begins with the hand-harvesting of grapes at their peak ripeness. After rigorous sorting, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, promoting gentle tannin extraction. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, lasts approximately 12 to 14 months, allowing the wine to develop complex aromas while retaining its freshness. This artisanal process reflects the estate's commitment to excellence.
