Tasting notes
The 2018 Cornillard opens with a brilliant golden hue, reminiscent of sunlight on the vines. On the nose, aromas of white flowers and yellow-fleshed fruit mingle with mineral and citrus notes. On the palate, freshness and vibrancy are harmoniously expressed, offering a beautiful structure and a touch of salinity. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a delicate imprint of fruit and flowers—a true delight for the senses.

The Domaine Patrick Baudouin vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, ideal for expressing Chenin Blanc beautifully. The vines, some decades old, sink their roots deep into this rich soil, absorbing essential minerals and nutrients. The temperate oceanic climate of Anjou, with its warm summers and mild winters, allows for optimal grape ripening. This combination of terroir and climate gives rise to wines of great complexity, a true reflection of their environment.
The team's opinion
Un grand Chenin ample et précis, avec une tension minérale et une finale longue aux notes de coing et d’agrumes.
