    Owner and history

    The Clos Fourtet vineyard extends over 20 hectares on a soil composed of a thin layer of clay-loam soil with windblown sands in places, all on the limestone base of the Saint-Emilion plateau. The entire vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, currently in conversion to biodynamic practices. The grape varieties planted at Clos Fourtet include: Merlot (90%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), and Cabernet Franc (3%).

    - Aged for 18 months with 80% new oak barrels
