An organic and biodynamic vineyard
The vineyards of the estateThe Blood of the PebblesThey cover 18 hectares. The entire vineyard is classified as AOC.Vacqueyrasand is located on the garrigue of Sarrians. The vines are planted in clay-limestone soil and develop naturally. Thanks to the exclusion of pesticides, the grapes produced perfectly express the terroir of Vacqueyras. Synthetic fertilizers are replaced by compost made from grape pomace and cow manure. In the heart of the vineyard, Grenache Noir is the predominant grape variety, along with Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault for the production of red wines. For white grape varieties, we find...Clairette, Grenache blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne, Viognier and Bourboulenc.

The vineyards ofBlood of the Pebbles EstateThe vines are on average 40 years old, and their leaves are thinned according to the plot and the weather. The harvest is always done by hand, thus respecting the vines and allowing for precise selection of the grape bunches.
In 2001, a new cellar was built on the property, housing new vats that allow for the refinement of the work done in the vineyard. TheVacqueyrasThe wines produced by Domaine du Sang des Cailloux are impressive; they are clearly made for aging and will reveal even more of their character with time. On average, the estate produces 60,000 bottles per year.
