    Description

Champagne Jacquesson, an independent and historic house founded in 1798, is located in Dizy, in the heart of Champagne. Now managed by the Chiquet brothers, it distinguishes itself through an artisanal, single-vineyard approach that showcases the terroir in all its finesse. The Cuvée N°743 DT Extra Brut 2014 embodies this quest for excellence, with a "Late Disgorgement" edition that illustrates the exceptional aging potential of these rare wines. Sourced from a rigorous selection of parcels located primarily in Aÿ, Dizy, and Avize, this champagne reveals a mineral, vibrant, and remarkably structured personality.

    Notes and pairings

    Notes and pairings

    Tasting notes

The brilliant golden hue of this vintage heralds an elegant champagne. The nose reveals notes of dried fruit, acacia honey, hazelnut, and warm stone. On the palate, the structure is taut, the texture dense and precise, with fine bubbles accompanying an evolving bouquet that blends candied citrus, brioche, and flint. The saline and persistent finish testifies to a great wine, perfectly refined by this extended aging on the lees.

    Food & wine pairings

Perfect with roasted turbot, poultry with morels or aged Comté cheese, this champagne will also enhance dishes made with white truffles.

    Producer

Jacquesson cultivates its vines on Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, primarily in the villages of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize, and Oiry. The chalky, well-drained soils, combined with sustainable viticulture practices, produce ripe, expressive, and remarkably pure grapes. The plot-by-plot approach adopted since the 2000s results in precise wines, marked by their origin and crystalline freshness.

    Owner and history

Led by Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, Jacquesson is today one of the most respected Champagne houses. The two brothers have instilled a demanding philosophy: vinifying with respect for each terroir, reducing yields, and extending aging to achieve greater precision. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture, combined with their almost Burgundian approach to winemaking, makes each cuvée a unique work of art, respectful of its origin and in constant pursuit of excellence.

    Vinification and aging

At Jacquesson, winemaking relies on indigenous yeasts, fermentation in oak casks, and minimal intervention. The wines benefit from extended aging on their lees, without filtration, and are then bottled for a second fermentation. For the N°743 DT 2014 vintage, aging was prolonged for over seven years before late disgorgement, giving this champagne remarkable depth, aromatic complexity, and tension on the palate.
