    Owner and history

    Château de Marsannay owns 40 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, including 28 hectares in the finest terroirs of the Marsannay appellation and parcels in the most prestigious vineyard sites of the Côte de Nuits. Château de Marsannay has committed to an agroecological approach focused on preserving biodiversity and improving its carbon footprint.

    Vinification and aging

    La vinification au Château de Marsannay se fait dans le respect des traditions bourguignonnes. Les raisins, soigneusement triés, sont éraflés puis fermentés en cuves inox pour préserver la fraîcheur et la fruité. Un élevage sur lies fines de plusieurs mois permet d'affiner la structure du vin et d'enrichir sa palette aromatique. Ce processus minutieux, associé à une maîtrise des températures, assure l'expression pure du terroir. Le Clos de Jeu 2023 est ensuite mis en bouteille sans filtration, pour conserver toute son authenticité.

    This wine is already very appealing in its youth for its fruit, but it will gain in complexity over the next 3 to 8 years (peaking around 2027-2030). "Clos de Jeu" is one of the Marsannay vineyards officially applying for Premier Cru status, which testifies to the superior quality of this terroir within the appellation.
