The Château Figeac vineyard covers 40 hectares, spread across clay-gravel soils, which impart a rich aromatic profile to the grapes. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care, respecting the natural cycles. The moderate oceanic climate, with hot summers and mild winters, promotes optimal grape ripening. Each plot is meticulously tended to express the best of this unique terroir, revealing distinctive characteristics in each vintage.

Owner and history

Currently, Château Figeac is managed by the Manoncourt family, who have preserved the family heritage while modernizing the estate. Their passion for wine and respect for the terroir are at the heart of their philosophy. Through bold choices and a long-term vision, they continue to develop the estate, striving for excellence in every bottle produced. Their commitment to sustainable and responsible viticulture reinforces Château Figeac's reputation as one of the jewels of Saint-Émilion.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Figeac respects tradition while incorporating modern techniques. The carefully sorted grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the aromas. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are renewed each year, allowing the tannins to soften and adding further complexity to the wine. This meticulous process guarantees a perfect harmony between power and finesse, essential for expressing the terroir.
