Producer

The Chambolle-Musigny vineyard is renowned for its clay-limestone soils, which impart elegance and complexity to the wines. Planted on well-exposed slopes, the vines benefit from a microclimate ideal for ripening the grapes. The old vines, often over 30 years old, contribute additional concentration and depth to the wines. This unique terroir, combined with traditional winemaking expertise, allows for the creation of exceptionally refined wines, reflecting the essence of Burgundy.

Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Faiveley family, who carry on a winemaking tradition spanning several generations. The current owners, Erwan and his father, have modernized the estate while respecting its heritage. Their passion for Burgundy and their commitment to the environment are reflected in every bottle produced. They work closely with their teams to guarantee exceptional quality at every stage of production, making Joseph Faiveley a key player in the world of fine Burgundy wines.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Joseph Faiveley is carried out with the utmost care. The grapes are harvested by hand and meticulously sorted to guarantee their quality. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature regulation. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, lasts approximately 12 to 18 months, imparting complexity and roundness to the wine. This meticulous process allows the full potential of the Chambolle-Musigny terroir to be expressed, while preserving the purity of the fruit.
