The Premier Cru Champ Gain vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Chardonnay. Puligny-Montrachet's location, with its gentle slopes and optimal exposure, promotes perfect grape ripening. The region's temperate climate, with warm summers and cool winters, allows for the production of high-quality grapes, rich in aromas and acidity. The vines, cultivated with care, produce limited yields to guarantee the concentration of flavors, making this terroir an exceptional place for viticulture.

Owner and history

Today managed by the Faiveley family, the estate perpetuates a tradition of quality and innovation. The current owners, passionate about their craft, are committed to producing wines that respect the identity of their terroir. Their approach is based on sustainable viticulture, aiming to preserve the environment while offering high-quality wines. This passion for wine and respect for the terroir are reflected in every vintage, making Domaine Faiveley a pillar of Burgundian excellence.

Vinification and aging

The vinification of the 2024 Premier Cru Champ Gain follows traditional methods that respect the fruit. After a carefully selective hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to preserve their integrity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop its complexity while retaining a beautiful freshness. Aging, lasting several months, occurs in barrels, some of which are new, imparting a subtle oaky touch. This meticulous process allows the wine to fully express the terroir and acquire remarkable depth.
