The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is rooted in mineral-rich clay-limestone soils, typical of the Côte de Nuits. The vines benefit from a continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, promoting optimal grape ripening. The estate cultivates its plots with care, respecting the cycles of nature. Each terroir is unique, and this is reflected in the complexity of the wines produced. The Cazetiers, in particular, are known for their depth and aging potential, yielding wines that evolve beautifully over time.

Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Faiveley family, who embody the heritage and passion for winemaking. The owners are committed to preserving tradition while integrating modern practices to enhance the quality of their wines. Their vision is to produce wines that tell the story of their terroir, while respecting the environment. The Faiveley family is also involved in sustainability initiatives, seeking to pass on their expertise to future generations.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The Pinot Noir grapes are hand-harvested, then destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas. Aging, which lasts approximately 12 to 18 months, occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart a subtle touch of wood without masking the fruit. This care at each stage of winemaking results in wines of great finesse and beautiful structure.
