    This cuvée comes from old Pinot Noir vines, over 60 years old, rooted in the clay-limestone soils typical of the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation. This unique terroir, rich in clay and limestone, gives the wine depth and complexity. The region's temperate climate allows for a slow ripening of the grapes, thus intensifying the aromatic concentration of the Pinot Noir and revealing the full richness of this emblematic grape variety.

    Vinification and aging

    The winemaking process for Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes follows a traditional approach aimed at fully expressing the essence of Pinot Noir. The grapes, from old vines, are harvested by hand to preserve their quality, and fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, highlighting the typicity of the terroir. Precise temperature control allows for optimal extraction of aromas and tannins, giving the wine power and refinement. Aging lasts between 15 and 18 months in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, adding subtle notes of vanilla and spice that harmonize with the fruity richness of the Pinot Noir.
