    Domaine Mongeard Mugneret benefits from an exceptional terroir within the Côte de Nuits, the preferred terroir for Pinot Noir. The vines of the Premier Cru Aux Boudots extend across east-facing slopes, enjoying optimal sunshine and natural drainage thanks to the clay-limestone soils. These ideal conditions allow for the production of concentrated grapes, expressing all the richness and complexity of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. Sustainable viticulture practices are employed, favoring minimal intervention to preserve biodiversity and guarantee a pure expression of the terroir. This meticulous care of the vines is reflected in the exceptional quality of the wines produced.

    Vinification and aging

    The 2021 Premier Cru Aux Boudots benefits from traditional Burgundian winemaking. After a rigorously selected, hand-harvested grape harvest, the grapes are destemmed and then vinified in open vats, with regular pump-overs and punch-downs to extract color and aromas. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by aging in French oak barrels for approximately 16 to 18 months, bringing complexity and roundness to the wine. This meticulous aging process highlights the aromatic richness and lends an elegant and silky structure to this exceptional vintage.
