    Owner and history

The Domaine Mongeard Mugneret vineyards extend primarily across the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, where the terroirs benefit from a continental climate ideal for growing Pinot Noir. Planted in mineral-rich clay-limestone soils, the vines impart remarkable depth and complexity to the wines. The ideal exposure and meticulous vineyard work result in grapes with exceptional aromatic concentration, producing wines that are both elegant and powerful. The sustainable viticulture practices employed by the estate ensure an environmentally conscious approach while preserving the unique expression of each plot.

    Vinification and aging

Domaine Mongeard Mugneret relies on traditional methods to enhance its Pinot Noir. Vinification begins with cold maceration to gently extract the finest aromas and tannins. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with a proportion of new barrels used to add complexity without overpowering the fruit. This meticulous process ensures that Cuvée M achieves a perfect balance between finesse and structure.
