This Grand Cru comes from four distinct parcels totaling 4.11 hectares, primarily located at the top of the slope on limestone-rich soils. It is a true masterpiece of Chablis: powerful, complex, and with a vibrant minerality, offering pure emotion.

A rich texture, intense white fruit flavors, and a concentrated, balanced finish without sweetness. A great wine for aging!

" On the nose, aromas of oyster shell and light sea spray mingle with notes of orange peel and wild mint. The palate is very concentrated and intense, more so than other William Fèvre Grands Crus. Very harmonious with a balanced finish, tinged with green ginger, that lingers on the palate. Excellent. " Neal Martin, Vinous. 93-95 points/100

Owner and history

Located in the heart of the Chablis Grands Crus, the Les Clos vineyard covers 26.04 hectares, of which 4.11 hectares belong to Domaine William Fèvre. Facing due south, this exceptional terroir rests on white clay and Kimmeridgian limestone soils, rich in fossils. This unique composition gives the wines a singular minerality and characteristic spicy nuances, particularly pronounced in their youth.

Vinification and aging

At Domaine William Fèvre, every step is carefully considered to preserve the wine's freshness and elegance. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed before natural fermentation. A portion of the wine is aged in seasoned oak barrels (60-70%) to impart structure and complexity, while the remainder rests in stainless steel tanks to maintain exceptional aromatic purity. Aging on fine lees for 14 to 15 months contributes to remarkable richness and depth.
