The Vietti estate's vineyards stretch across sun-drenched hills, benefiting from a clay-limestone terroir ideal for cultivating noble grape varieties. The continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, allows for optimal grape ripening. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with respect for the environment, promoting biodiversity and grape quality. Each plot is carefully selected to produce wines that reflect the unique identity of their terroir, blending tradition and innovation.

Owner and history

Today, the Vietti estate is run by the Vietti family, who embody passion and a commitment to excellence. Deeply rooted in the Piedmontese terroir, the family has passed down its expertise from generation to generation. The current owners, particularly Luca Vietti, continue to innovate while respecting the traditions that have made the estate famous. Their vision is to produce wines that tell the story of their land, while adhering to a sustainable and environmentally responsible approach.

Vinification and aging

The vinification of the Vietti Barbaresco Roncaglie Masseria 2017 is carried out with great care. The hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and crushed before being placed in vats for controlled fermentation. This process allows for the extraction of the full aromatic richness of the berries. Aging takes place in oak barrels, where the wine develops its aromas and structure. This maturation period, which can vary depending on the vintage, is essential to achieving the perfect balance between power and finesse. The wine is then bottled unfiltered to preserve its authenticity.
