The Domaine Faiveley vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, typical of Burgundy, which promote optimal drainage. The old vines, some over a century old, contribute to the concentration of aromas and the complexity of the wines. The Burgundian climate, with its temperature variations, allows for perfect grape ripeness, thus ensuring the exceptional quality of the wines. The sustainable farming practices implemented by the estate respect the ecosystem, guaranteeing healthy grapes bursting with flavor.

    Owner and history

Currently managed by the seventh generation of the Faiveley family, the estate is in the hands of Erwan and Olivier Faiveley. Their passion for wine and their respect for family traditions are at the heart of their philosophy. They continue to innovate while preserving the legacy of their ancestors, striving to produce wines that tell the story of their land. Thanks to their expertise, Domaine Faiveley has established itself as one of Burgundy's leading names, celebrated both nationally and internationally.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2022 Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley begins with a manual harvest of the grapes, followed by rigorous selection. The berries are then destemmed and crushed before being placed in vats for a gentle fermentation. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, allowing for a harmonious integration of tannins and aromas. This aging process, which lasts approximately 14 months, imparts remarkable complexity and finesse to the wine, while preserving the identity of the terroir.
