The Château Charmail vineyard stretches across carefully selected plots, where the vines benefit from a clay-limestone terroir. This mineral-rich soil promotes excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening. The region's oceanic climate, with its mild winters and sunny summers, allows the grape varieties to fully flourish. Each vine is cultivated with care, respecting the principles of sustainable agriculture, in order to preserve biodiversity and soil health. This sustainable approach contributes to the finesse and complexity of the wines produced.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Charmail is run by a passionate team that carries on the family legacy while incorporating modern techniques. The current owners, eager to realize the full potential of their vineyard, have implemented environmentally responsible practices. Their commitment to quality is reflected in every bottle, where a love of wine and terroir blends with innovation. They aspire to create wines that tell a story—the story of their land and their passion for winemaking.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Charmail is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. After a manual harvest at optimal ripeness, the grapes are carefully sorted. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the aromas. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart a subtle oak influence while respecting the expression of the fruit. This artisanal approach guarantees a balanced wine, rich in flavor and structure. Each step is carefully considered to reveal the best of this exceptional terroir.
