    Vinification and aging

This vintage was created in 1999 with the ambition of crafting an elegant Bordeaux-style blend, but with a Tuscan touch. Drawing on the expertise of renowned nurseryman Gilbert Bouvet, the domaine The estate has grafted mature vines with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, grape varieties perfectly suited to the Tuscan terroir. Its name comes from the Oreno, a stream that flows through the property; it is precisely in the clay-rich area bordering this waterway that our Merlot vines flourish. Conversely, Cabernet Sauvignon finds its ideal terroir in soils more scattered with pebbles, which ensure optimal drainage while naturally regulating temperature and humidity. Petit Verdot harmoniously completes the blend, traditionally contributing its spicy notes and great aromatic intensity.
