    Owner and history

Clos Vougeot is a unique terroir where the soils are composed of limestone and clay, offering a rich minerality that is reflected in the wines. Louis Latour's plot is located in the upper part of the Clos, an area renowned for producing more elegant and refined wines. The southeast exposure ensures optimal ripening of the grapes, resulting in concentrated and balanced wines.

    Vinification and aging

The wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which come from the Côte d'Or forest. The proportion of new barrels varies depending on the vintage, but for the 2012 Clos Vougeot, approximately 30% of the barrels were new. Aging lasts around 18 months, allowing the wine to develop structure while elegantly integrating the oak aromas.
